Oh I didn't realize that the Jets went 13-0 before giving the last two games away to rest starters this season too....must have missed that one.

it's okay the jets have a brighter future, but the colts will win the superbowl this year though becausei picked them to. unfortunately i picked the cowboys to play them but since im a genius i picked the saints once the cowboys lost. bye bye.

Really...a brighter future than the Colts? Our D gets shit done and we have 5 amazing receivers? Manning is getting better and better. Short of injury to Peyton, I can't see how any team in the NFL is as deep as the Colts offensively.

Haha, the Jets hardly have a future. They squeaked into the playoffs this year with a pregnant head coach. Next year is a different story...

Jets will not be as good. AFC East is a pretty stout division. I remember reading this too:

" In 2008, (JaMarcus) Russell completed 198 of 368 passes for 2,423 yards and 13 TDs (with 8 INTs). This season, Sanchez went 196-for-364 for 2,444 yards, 12 TDs and 20 INTs. Their completion percentages were identical (ahhh!): both at 53.8 percent.

Russell started 15 games at age 23 in 2008; Sanchez started 15 games at age 23 in 2009. The biggest difference is in interceptions, where Sanchez was significantly worse, throwing 20 interceptions to Russell's eight.

Other players similar to Sanchez give little reason for hope. The best of the bunch are Jim Everett and Neil Lomax. There are also former first-rounders like Byron Leftwich, Tim Couch and Matt Leinart -- and then you get guys like Tony Banks, Scott Campbell and Billy Joe Tolliver.

Obviously, this is one year, and Sanchez was drafted higher than most of these comparable players for a reason. He has more potential. But except for the wild-card win against Cincinnati, he really hasn't shown it. "

Manning, In his rookie season, he passed for 3,739 yards with 26 touchdowns, set five different NFL rookie records, including most touchdown passes in a season, and was named to the NFL All-Rookie First Team.

Sanchez 12 td. Man that's almost 1 td for 2 int.

Oh , and Colts defense was giving 27pts per game. No where close to the jets defense.

Don't put Manning and Sanchez in the same category plz.

AGREE^^^

Manning if he wins the Super Bowl this year will go down as the GREATEST QB of all time. He is the true image of a QB in running a team, because we all know Payton runs the Offense and has more football IQ than any offensive coordinator in the league. Hands down the greatest QB of my life, and probably ever. Oh and BTW how many rookie or 2 year receivers does he use? I do believe he has the youngest receiving crew in the league....?

GO COLTS!

I think the point was, even if sanchez had a bad year, he can still be great. Not that Manning ain't great.

What I tried to say is, Sanchez rookie season is average for a rookie, and no way as good as Rookie year of Manning.
