Holy shit I haven't experience pain like this in a long time. It is definitely better today but holy crap....yesterday I couldn't move for like an hour without some intense pain. I've never had anything like that before but apparently walking up the stairs to my bedroom was enough to lay me out for over an hour.

Anyone ever had these before? If so, what helped for you? My muscles are still a little sore but not nearly as bad.

Is it upper, mid, or lower back pain?

Mostly mid and lower back, but during the "shock and awe" moment from yesterday afternoon it was my upper back as well.

I'd wager a guess and say that you strained something in your hip or pelvis region. That area of your body is largely responsible for keeping your left and right sides symmetrical and balanced, and when strained or misaligned due to stress it can affect your entire back.

Since you hurt more yesterday than you do today, it's likely nothing to be worried about. Without being a doctor or knowing anything about what triggered the pain, I would say that some joint in your mid-region is inflamed. If that is the case, ibuprofen and heating pads are the best thing you can do to help it recover.

Massage the areas that hurt. If it is a cramp, drink lots of fluids. Take your vitamins daily. Get rest.

When I take vitamins it makes my poop hurt.

YYyah sounds like when my siadic gets pinched in my hip. I've never been stabbed with a knife - but I'm pretty sure this is right on that level. Makes your leg and thigh hurt too. You think you need to crack your back and when you try it puts you on the floor and says noooo. I normally take 2 aleve gel caps, and put a ice pack on that area, and try to sleep. My hips are always out of alignment from hitting and getting hit in football - get them checked by a chiropractor.
