My current headset broke the other day and I am looking for a new one. It can really be wired or wireless but wireless preferred. Needs to be USB. Also, relatively cheap? Thanks! |

It might be hard to find wireless and cheap depending on your definition for cheap Here is the headset I have though. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VANOFY/ref ... wo=&hvqmt= I'm assuming you already know this since you're looking for a USB headset but USB headsets install their own audio driver. This means if you have speakers, you'll have to switch the playback between your speakers and your headphones anytime you want to listen to one or the other. The headset has great 7.1 surround sound however I feel like the audio driver it installs misses some things. I'm not sure if it is the games or what but I had some weird audio issues in BF2 where sound would just cut out and I have that occasionally in Tera also. It could be the games, but I have a hunch that it is the audio driver but I can't say for sure. I love having a wireless headset but because of these audio issues I'm having I'm thinking I'll try to find a wireless headset with a stereo jack for my next one if they exist. |

Both wireless and USB headsets are typically known for not having the greatest sound quality. I think by asking for a headset with both qualities you're asking for trouble. Wireless means your audio is likely compressed, and USB means you're potentially using an inferior sound driver and/or sound card. If you aren't looking for super high quality sound, that's fine--I just wanted to put that information out there. That said, there are probably good wireless USB headsets out there. The one whiz linked is probably a good one. Personally I would always favor a good pair of headphones with a separate mic instead of a headset. My recommendation would be to pick up a pair of Sennheiser's and a good quality desk or clip-on mic. |

The price just dropped to $89 on the ones that Whiz linked. They are the same price at Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?SID=vl0Y8LZfEeGjUfJvjwbRWg0&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16826104399 I guess that's the lowest price they have ever been |

Bought a pair of Wireless Astro A30's but they're probably out of your price range. While yes, some wireless headphones suck, these are a fantastic pair but will run you $250 brand new. I have never had a hiccup in signal, things come through clear as day with little to no latency, and they are just ballin in the sound department with the wireless mixamp. http://www.astrogaming.com/a30-wireless-system |
