My current headset is starting to crap out (it is a really cheap $20-$30 logitech). Any suggestions on a good headset that can withstand some beating? |

I've heard some really good things about Sennheiser's gaming headsets. Might want to check them out. |

I purchased some Zalman headset about 3 or 4 years ago.....the thing I like about them is they have 2 speakers on each side (front-rear but sounds like a middle speaker also) and you can hear things really good. Also I have not broken them yet is a plus as well. http://www.xoxide.com/za51suulgahe.html I can't really remember but if you like these.....check if mic comes with them. |

Thinking about buying these. Thoughts? I saw the links about the other headsets but I'm really just tired of replacing them every couple of years (apparently I'm hard on them). http://www.sennheiserusa.com/PC-stereo- ... set_504121 |

Looks okay. Anything from Sennheiser is going to be good. Bones just got a pair of HD 555's and a Zalman clip-on mic and he really likes them. I have the same setup but with HD 650's. The HD lineup from Sennheiser isn't as rugged as their gaming line, so what you're looking at is probably better for you. |

Damnit, now I'm waffling. My biggest complaint, ever, with quality has been the cord. Between my wife, kids, and myself...that thing gets rolled over by my chair so much. I had the PC330 in my cart and it did one of those "other people have bought this..." and reminded me of the G930. Now I can't decide. The mic seems to be an area of contention but I'm wondering where people are plugging them in. I noticed if my headphones are plugged into my keyboard (they have jacks), then it gives off a hum too. I'm just worried I'm gonna drop $130 on a nice wired headset to come right back to the same problem. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 9&Tpk=G930 |

You shouldn't use the jacks on your keyboard. That's essentially guaranteeing interference. |

Yeah its been awhile since I have. I stopped when it got really bad and people were complaining in TS3 like 6 or 7 months ago lol. |

Very pricey, but worth it so far.....no need to worry about the cord, it is braided. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product |

I would recommend getting a pair of headphones that use your soundcard instead of something built into the cable. Note that if you pick up a pair of HD 555's (or really any quality pair of non-gaming headphones), you can just buy new cables if your stock ones wear out. A new set of cables costs about $30-$50 depending on the brand. |

Saw that Newegg has them on sale for $99 plus it comes with Star Trek Online and some STO bonus pack for free. Even without the games, the headset itself is $60 off. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 104399-L0H |
