That's the best I can find for that price range. Personally I would recommend a set of Sennheisers but they are a bit more expensive. I'm actually looking to buy a new pair myself.

I'm going to spend a little more money and possibly get a
Plantronics GAMECOM 777 instead of the 377 u suggested...
Your suggestion led me into getting the 777 though! :p

They are $15 bucks on a crazy sale. The sale probably ends tonight though. I've had used this headset for years.

You really get what you pay for with headphones...

If you care at all about the sound quality, I highly suggest getting a pair of headphones (and not a headset) and then buying a clip-on mic to go with it. That's how I have my HD650's setup and I honestly couldn't be happier.

You won't find much worth your money under $100. If you're willing to spend closer to $200, Sennheiser has a few models out that blow everything else in that range out of the water.

I have this one, which I think sounds amazing given the price: http://www.xoxide.com/zmmic1.html

It looks like this on my headphones:

Wow no joke, that really does sound nice for a $6 mic.

Yeah it works great.

I always used to get annoyed by the fact that the boom mic on my Plantronics headset (which I had prior to getting my HD650's) had to be right in front of my mouth to work properly (ie. I couldn't leave it retracted on top of my head). With this Zalman mic I don't even notice that I'm wearing it.

I've been contemplating ordering four or five more of them just in case the one I have now breaks for some reason since I can't think of a more perfect audio setup for gaming.

So I was thinking about getting these sexy head phones and they come with a mic just like you are using fox, http://www.steelseries.com/us/products/ ... nformation plus i think i would look good in pink.... Anyone have a pair or has had a pair of these and can tell me if they are good are not?

And where did you get that nice mouse pad I've been using my old tiger mouse pad for 3 years its kinda getting frayed and nasty!

Personally I would stay away from any headphones that are marketed as "gaming" grade, unless they're made by Sennheiser. They might be fine, but it's generally better to pay for sound quality and then just get the mic separately.

I designed a team mousepad a few years ago and we got them custom printed through fUnc. Mine's getting worn out though, so I may order another before too long. I can hook you up with one if you want (they're about $30-$40 depending on options).

Eh I run through head phones pretty fast, they always end up falling off my desk when I roll back in my chair so I don't want to spend to much on them :S, I just want something that wont hurt my ears ><
