Our L4D team had another good match night tonight as we ended the night 2-0...kinda. Unfortunately, the forfeit wins keep coming in CEVO which moves us to 5-0 with two more rounds to go. The team we play in CEVO on Monday has previously been active early on in the tournament. However, their record basically eliminates them from moving on within our group as it will either be BoS or Team FNG moving on. Here's hoping they get back to us in match comms...

However, we did get an actual match in on Game Battles tonight against O|Rev. The match was extremely low scoring on Death Toll as both teams brought their All 4 Dead pants. We traded the first two maps with us taking the first and them taking the second while we split the 3rd. The fourth map was definitely where the action was.

We entered the fourth map up by about 300 and played survivors first. The second we stepped out of the safe room (the 2nd floor of the church) the tank spawned. We were totally unprepared and he ended up taking a medkit away from us early. Because of that we struggled all map and ended up getting all four killed not long after passing the crescendo. So we started the infected side of map four knowing we had to get some good damage in with the tank. Unfortunately for us the way it played out (tank spawned late), we did almost no damage with the tank.

Coming up on the crescendo for them we knew we had to make a move as we only had two survivors down to half health and time was running out. We setup for an absolutely clutch four-cap just as they were going to trigger the crescendo. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. We ended up killing all four on the first half of map five and at that point we knew we had the match sealed. All in all an amazing match and well played teamwork by Xenethyl, Bengal, Dagger, and Whizperz.
